I chose the topic of creativity as I feel that the practice of the art of astrology is creative, as it involves us in contradictory processes of literality and imagination, linearity and cyclicality, signs and symbols. My intention is to explore how astrology engages our creativity through its symbols and images.

I also presented a lecture on the magic of everyday life at the 2021 AA Conference, exploring astrological signatures and symbols that facilitate living a more meaningful life, mainly the house of substance.

Webinar Handouts – The Archaeology of the Astrological Houses
These notes were updated for my webinars with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in July 2020. Originally these notes were given to participants in the workshop for Pure Soul Astrology in Sydney, May 2014. My focus was to explore the houses in greater depth, so students could reflect on the houses in their own horoscope.

For many of seminars I prepare notes for the participants beforehand, so they can prepare and orientate themselves before the seminar – these notes were given to participants in the workshop for the Faculty of Astrological Studies in Oxford, England in August 2012. The focus is on progressions, especially the progressions of the Sun, Moon and the Lunation Cycle.
Seminar Handouts – Cycles of Life
For many of seminars I prepare notes for the participants beforehand, so they can prepare and orientate themselves before the seminar – these notes were given to participants in the workshop for NORWAC in Seattle, Oregon in May 2017. This workshop looked at planetary cycles in context of the initiatory passages of our lives. These notes contain ways of thinking about the planetary cycles in terms of life passages and initiations.
Seminar Handouts – Symbols, Soul and the Imagination
For many of seminars I prepare notes for the participants beforehand, so they can prepare and orientate themselves before the seminar – these notes were given to participants for the retreat for Pure Soul Astrology in Sydney, October, 2015. This retreat was more of a meditative and reflective exploration of astrological symbols and the imaginative process.
Seminar Handouts – Soulful Encounters
For many of seminars I prepare notes for the participants beforehand, so they can prepare and orientate themselves before the seminar – these notes were given to participants for the workshop for Pure Soul Astrology in Sydney, February, 2017. The workshop explored the idea of crossroads and meetings at the crossroads through astrological images such as the Lunar Nodes, the Four Angles and the Vertex and their interlocking aspects with other horoscopes.

Horoscope Calculation and the Southern Table of Houses
Horoscope calculation is Astrology B.C. or ABC; that is Astrology Before Computers – in the days when the ephemeris was consulted and the horoscope was calculated by hand with tables and formula. The chart was hand drawn; this was the time before the mouse. Calculating a horoscope by hand seems like such a thing of the past, but with its passing has also gone some of the horoscope preparation rituals, that process of slowly seeing the horoscope take shape. It is a worthwhile exercise that assists in understanding what lies behind the finished horoscope that easily slides off your printer.
